Variable Rate Mortgages continue to provide the best value

I remain a strong advocate of the variable rate and at more than 1.25% below the 4 year rate, I see no reason at this point to pay the premium. Our research backed by data from statistics Canada (economic observer) indicates we will see prime stay as it is until we experience some inflation (likely next year or later). Currently with unemployment numbers increasing and the economy in a state of deflation, we see no need to lock into anything at present. That being said, if it provides greater peace of mind, we will accomodate a fixed term mortgage without hesitation.  Please call or email me with any questions.  Bob Reader
